45Z Biomass to SAF and Renewable Diesel Emulator

This calculator estimates the Carbon Intensity (CI) of biomass-to-Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) pathways utilizing gasification and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, in accordance with Section 45Z. While the current 45Z model supports only corn stover as a feedstock, this emulator has been expanded to include forest residue for modeling purposes. The emission factors used for forest residue are fully aligned with those in the 2024 R&D Argonne GREET model.
